SteelStacks announces new shows
Renowned Bluesman Jonny Lang, Marc Broussard and soul Blues Brothers tribute The Blues Brotherhood are among the new acts coming to the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.
Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-2278.
At the age of 15, Johnny Lang released his solo debut album “Lie to Me,” with the record becoming a platinum success.
He went on to gain recognition as one of the best live performers and guitarists of his generation.
He will perform at the Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling at 7:30 p.m. on April 26.
Marc Broussard will bring the spirits of classic R&B, rock and soul to the Musikfest Café stage at 7:30 p.m. on April 11.
Since launching his major-label debut in 2004, Broussard has released eight studio albums and is currently awaiting his next release, “A Lullaby Collection.”
The upcoming album will be available Nov. 15 and proceeds will benefit Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge.
On Jan. 24, 7:30 p.m., the Musikfest Café welcomes the Blues Brotherhood featuring original Blues Brothers member Tom “Bones” Malone as they celebrate John Belushi’s birthday.
This band covers the best material from the original Blues Brothers, as well as other classic blues, funk and soul unique to the “Brotherhood.”
CHRISTMAS EXPLOSION! Featuring The Beautiful Distortion will be held at Fowler Blast Furnace Room at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 21.
